The shooting floor is built for video as well as photo — continuous LED lighting, real sound dampening, a working cyclorama, a monitor lounge for clients and art directors, and a full kitchen for craft service. Most productions pair their own camera package with our lighting, grip, and tether station.

Book directly through the live availability scheduler on the booking page — pick your block, confirm, and the studio is yours. Shooting several days? Pick Multi-day, choose your date range, and it's self-booked at the flat daily rate (a Sat–Sun weekend counts as one day). Yes. The studio is built for the full range of professional creative work — photographers, videographers, content creators, influencers, agencies, and in-house brand teams. The Creator membership in particular is built for recurring content output.

Reschedule or cancel up to 72 hours before your booking for a full credit on file. Inside 72 hours, the booking is non-refundable but rebookable for up to 60 days. Members get a more flexible window — full details are in the membership terms.

Yes. Free 20-minute studio tours run Monday–Saturday, 10am–6pm — schedule one at /tour with just your name, email, and phone. Walking the space before a campaign day is the smart move, and we recommend it.

Yes. To take equipment on location you register for a rental account once — a quick step that includes a driver's license scan, two business references, and either a certificate of insurance on file or a credit-card hold for the replacement value of the rental. Renting just the studio doesn't require this.

We rent on a 3-day rental week: three, four, five, six, and seven days are all billed as a single 3-day rental, so a full week costs the same as three days. Daily rates are listed on every category page, and longer or recurring rentals are quoted on request. Invoices are payable by card or ACH bank transfer and carry a payment-processing fee — 3% for card, 1% for ACH — shown as its own line item on the invoice before you pay.

Send your gear list (or a brief) and your shoot dates through the request-an-estimate form, and we'll confirm availability and send a written quote — usually the same business day. Estimates are free and open to anyone; a rental account is only needed once you're ready to take the gear out.

Yes. The gear-rental house is completely separate from the studio — pick up (or have delivered) cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, and production supplies and take them anywhere. No studio booking required.

Both. Pick up at the Kalamath St. shop Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm by appointment, or add the gear transport van at $225 per travel day — a travel day is each calendar day the van is on the road for your job, out and back. We don't ship, but we deliver anywhere within 500 miles of downtown Denver, and out-of-town crews can have gear staged on arrival. Pickup or return outside standard hours is a flat $175.

That's what your rental account covers — a certificate of insurance on file, or a credit-card hold for the replacement value of the gear. Bring everything back in good shape and the hold is released. If you're unsure about coverage, just ask before your shoot.

Yes. The studio rents as a private event venue for $1,125/day, 7:00am–midnight, for up to 40 people. You get everything a studio rental includes minus the photo/video gear — the full 2,400 ft² main level, working kitchen, lounge, outdoor deck, changing room, HVAC, WiFi, free street parking, and the load-in ramp, with keyless access through your event window. Event dates are arranged directly: send the date and headcount through the contact form or email hello@photospacedenver.com and we'll confirm it.

Everything a studio rental includes except the shoot-specific gear: the full 2,400 ft² main level, working kitchen and client lounge, lounge furniture and tables, outdoor deck, make-up station and changing room, controllable daylight (motorized blackout roller shades), 5-zone HVAC, WiFi, free street parking, and the load-in ramp. Lighting kits, the tether station, cyc-wall protocols, and gear add-ons stay with studio rentals — if your event includes a shoot, book a studio rental instead. Capacity is 40 people.

Easy — pick up Friday, return Monday morning, and it bills as a single 3-day rental. Both ends land inside our standard pickup window (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, by appointment), so there's no off-hours fee. If your schedule doesn't fit that window, off-hours pickup or return can be arranged for a fee.

Yes. If you're renting as an individual on the card-hold option, your two references don't have to be rental houses or production clients — personal or professional contacts who can vouch for you work fine. Register once, authorize a hold for the gear's replacement value on each rental (released on safe return), and you're set.

Yes. photospace rents the Phase One XF IQ4 150MP system — one of the only places in the Rocky Mountains to rent a full medium-format Phase One kit. The complete kit (XF body, IQ4 150MP digital back, 80mm Blue Ring lens, batteries, charger, tether, and cards) is $825/day, and the XF body, IQ4 digital back, and Schneider Kreuznach Blue Ring LS lenses can also be rented à la carte. Profoto is the industry standard for commercial, fashion, beauty, and portrait work for a reason: AirTTL gives you a correctly exposed first frame automatically, High-Speed Sync (HSS) syncs flash up to 1/8000s to overpower the sun and drop backgrounds, flash durations down to 1/80,000s freeze motion cleanly, recycling is fast enough for bursts up to 50 flashes per second on the Pro-11, and color stays consistent shot to shot.
