Early access · For studio owners

The system our studio runs on, running yours.

Booking, payments, memberships, gear, and the website — one system.

photospace has rented a floor and a gear library in Denver since 2008. Everything that runs it — live booking, Stripe payments, memberships with included hours, a 450-item rental catalog, the admin dashboard, and the public site itself — is one system we built because nothing off the shelf did the job. We're opening it to a small number of other studios. From $749/month, hosting included.

Early accessStraight answer: this platform runs one studio today — ours, every day, with real money moving through it. There is no signup button and no free trial. We’re onboarding a handful of studios by hand to find out what breaks when it isn’t us using it.

What it replaces

You're probably running five systems that don't talk.

Every studio ends up with the same stack, assembled one emergency at a time. None of it is broken enough to rip out, and together it costs you a morning a week and the occasional double-booking.

Booking

Acuity or Calendly, which doesn't know your cyc needs an hour to repaint, can't hold a deposit, and will happily double-book the floor.

The website

A Squarespace or WordPress site that lists your rates in one place while the real rates live somewhere else, and drifts out of date the week after you change them.

Invoicing

FreshBooks or QuickBooks, plus Stripe links pasted into emails by hand, plus a folder of PDFs nobody can find during a dispute.

Memberships

A spreadsheet of who has hours left this month, reconciled by hand against a calendar, in a different tab from the card that pays for it.

Gear

An inventory spreadsheet, a second shared calendar for pickups and returns, and a packing slip you retype every time.

The front door

Meeting someone at 7am to let them in, or handing out a code that never gets rotated.

What you get

One system, and we keep shipping to it.

Everything below is live in production right now — not a roadmap. It runs our floor, our members, and our rental catalog today.

01

Booking & payments

Live availability, deposits and full payment through Stripe, confirmation email with a calendar attachment, and self-service reschedule, extend, and cancel. Buffers and minimums are yours to set.

02

Memberships

Recurring subscriptions with included hours per month, automatic consumption against bookings, overage billing, and self-service cancellation.

03

Gear rental

A catalog with client-side estimates, reservation requests, staff approval, invoicing, card holds, and generated packing slips.

04

Admin

One dashboard for bookings, reservations, rental accounts, members, coupons, manual blocks, and custom invoices — instead of five browser tabs.

05

Your public website

The marketing site itself: pages, structured data, and a single source of truth for business facts, so a rate change propagates everywhere at once instead of in six places.

06

Door access

Optional UniFi Access integration that issues a time-boxed door PIN for a confirmed booking and expires it afterward.

07

AI concierge

A chat assistant grounded in your own published facts — your hours, your rates, your policies — so it can't invent an answer you'd have to honor.

08

Updates included

We host it and we ship to it. Everything built for the platform lands on your install without a migration project or an upgrade invoice.

Why this one

It was built to run a studio, not to be sold to studios.

This didn't start as a product. It started because Acuity couldn't hold a deposit, FreshBooks couldn't bill a membership, and the gear calendar lived in a different universe from the booking calendar. Every feature exists because a specific thing went wrong on a specific day on our floor — which is a different design history from software written for a market someone researched.

Who it's for

Studios that already have the hard part.

A room, a calendar that fills, and too many tabs open to keep track of it.

Studios running on a patchwork

You have bookings coming in and four systems that don't talk to each other. Nothing is broken enough to replace, and all of it costs you a morning a week.

Studios adding memberships

Recurring revenue is the plan, but tracking included hours by hand against a calendar stops being possible somewhere around the tenth member.

Studios with a gear library

The gear earns its keep, and the spreadsheet tracking it is one accidental sort away from a bad afternoon.

Studios being built right now

If you're mid-build rather than mid-season, say so on the form — the studio-design and build side of what we do is a separate conversation and we'll have it.

Status

Early, and we'd rather say so.

Pricing starts at $749/month with hosting and updates included, and it will move as we learn what the work actually costs. We're taking a small number of studios first, by hand, because there are real questions we can't answer from inside our own building.

Open questions

  • How much hands-on setup does a studio actually need to switch over?
  • Does the gear-rental side matter to most studios, or is booking the whole job?
  • Should the public website be part of it, or should it sit behind a site you already have?
  • What's the right price for a studio that only wants booking and payments?
  • Which integrations are non-negotiable — QuickBooks, Xero, something else?

If you have an opinion on any of these, the form is the right place for it. Answers from working studios are genuinely what we need most right now.

Early access

Tell us about your studio.

A few questions, honestly answered, and we'll know quickly whether this is a fit. If it isn't, we'll say so — and if you're mid-build rather than mid-season, say that too, because the design-and-build side is a separate conversation we're glad to have.
